Membership

Being a member at Church of the Open Door is a public statement of faith, ownership, stewardship and responsibility for the life and gifts God has placed in you and your community of faith.

It is more than sitting through a class and receiving information. Membership is your way of saying “yes” to the life-long journey of transformation through community.

The Membership Process

1. Attend The First Step. Learn about Open Door’s values, beliefs, culture, community, and service opportunities and see if this is a good place for you to connect and grow.

2. Be involved in the Open Door community for one year.

3. Participate in The Journey class (cost:$20). The 12 core beliefs of Open Door are covered and you'll also receive a guidebook with daily reflections. Check back in August for times and options to take this class.

4. Complete and return Membership Application (PDF).

5. Sign the Participating Membership Covenant (sample PDF).
