SERVE

The world invites us to live our lives for ourselves, but Jesus invites us to live for something far greater. He calls us to turn our faces outward and live for the sake of others. There are many ways to serve at Open Door and beyond.

INSIDE OUR DOORS

Volunteering your time at church is a great way to connect with others in the community and find your place here. Check out the many ways you can be a part of Open Door.

Missional Life Email

The world invites us to live our lives for ourselves, but Jesus invites us to live for something far greater. He calls us to turn our faces outward and live for the sake of others. Hear how others from Open Door are serving people around them, and get connected with the latest events that help us see others through Jesus’ eyes. We’ll send weekly emails about topics that broaden our understanding of God's heart. And, we’ll invite you to join us for special guests and events. Contact: Rose at rlarson@thedoor.org | ext 1600

Outside Our Doors

Learning to live our lives for the sake of others is a big part of becoming fully alive in God.  We are called to live our lives missionally wherever God leads us - in our families, our neighborhoods, or around the world. Here are some of the organizations where the people of Open Door volunteer.

Short Term Mission Trips

Minnesota Camp

Minnesota Camp is an inclusive, safe, and fun Christian camp for adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Campers experience the beauty of Lake Geneva Christian Center while worshiping and learning about Jesus, building special relationships with their trained caregivers, engaging in adaptive activities, and having fun on the rock wall, big bikes, fishing, and more!  From personal care-giving, driving boats, or being part of the Rec crew, there are a ton of ways to share your gifts with the amazing campers!
