Experience community, connection and transformation through serving.
Serve the families of Open Door by spending time with kids in one of the following ways.

Parent Volunteer Roles
Set-Up Team
Help set up the middle school and high school rooms for programming. Commit one time per month.
Parent Patrol Team (aka Wednesday Parent Team)
As a visible presence during programming, this team will assist in registration, crowd control, watching exits, helping to move schedule along, and keeping a general eye out for the student’s safety and the integrity of the weekly program. Commit one time per month.
Take-Down Team
Taking down and storing the middle school and high school room decor for programming. Commit one time per month.
Wednesday Prep Team
Help with administrative tasks, such as copying, cutting, collating, and organizing supplies for the Wednesday night programming. Commit one time per week.
Special Events Prep
Planning and executing special events, such as large group meetings. The team could also assist with preparation for retreats, trainings, and large-scale mailings. Commitment as needed, four times per year or more.
Service Environment Site Director
Facilitate and oversee a service experience once a month for a group of students and their mentors at one of our service sites. Be main contact for organization, students, parents, and mentors regarding service experience.
Service Environment Transportation Provider
Drive students and mentors to and from their service site (starting point is Open Door).
