Serve Kids this Year!


Experience community, connection and transformation. Serve the families of Open Door by spending time in one of the following ways.

Sunday Mornings
Coach (Early Childhood & Elementary)
Partner with Ministry Coordinators to equip and support room leaders. Provide resources as needed and help build relationships among teams. Commitment varies.

Discussion Lead (Elementary)
Lead reflection time in Elementary classes by helping kids wonder. Encourage discovery about God through open-ended questions and listening. Help train other team members as needed. Minimum commitment of two times per month.

Hospitality (Early Childhood, Elementary & Preteen)
Enjoy the morning connecting with and providing information to visiting families. Minimum commitment of one time per month.

Large Group (Elementary)
Team with other storytellers to perform and engage kids in the story of God. If technology is your thing, we need individuals to provide basic tech support. Minimum commitment of one time per month.

Room Assistant (Early Childhood, Elementary & Preteen)
Team with a group of adults to connect and interact with kids while providing a relational and helpful presence. Minimum commitment of two times per month. Preteen commitment three times per month.

Student Assistant (Early Childhood & Elementary)
Students between the ages of 11-17 are given the opportunity to serve, play and enjoy the morning with kids of various ages. Limited spots available. Minimum commitment of two times per month.

Substitute (Early Childhood, Elementary & Preteen)
Fill in for Room Assistants when they are sick or out of town. Choose either scheduled dates or be on an on-call list.

Song Leader (Early Childhood)
Team with others leading three, four and five year olds in exciting action songs. Music and curriculum provided. Minimum commitment of two times per month.

Special Needs (Early Childhood, Elementary & Preteen)
Build a one-on-one relationship with a child with special needs. Creative accommodations provided.

During the Week
Resource Assistant (Early Childhood & Elementary)
Provide support to Kids staff by organizing, sorting and working on projects related to curriculum. Commitment is based on both availability and need.
