Life is full of unexpected changes. The death of a loved one, a serious illness or injury, divorce, birth,

preparing for and getting married, a change in income or a job loss. Open Door desires to walk alongside people who are experiencing times of transition and need God’s hope and healing. In addition to pastoral care, we offer support groups and prayer groups.

Support Groups

At Open Door, we offer safe, grace-filled environments where people share personal stories, can express emotions, and can be heard in an atmosphere of acceptance, encouragement, and understanding. Most groups are open and require notification before joining to honor privacy in the group. If any of these interest you, as you seek healing in Christ, connect with others in a safe space for the support you need in community.

A supportive thirteen-week group for those dealing with the pain of divorce that offers hope, healing and transformation. Topics include the road to healing, anger, depression, loneliness, new relationships, financial survival, childcare, single sexuality, forgiveness, reconciliation, and moving on. Walk-ins welcome. For other location options and more info, check DivorceCare.

The Widows' Well

Historically, a well has been a place where women have gathered in community and could draw not only water but encouragement from one another. Here, widows can come together in a safe and nurturing environment that will allow them to continue to grow and learn in this season of life. It’s a place where women can say the name of their late husband and feel that others understand what it feels like to lose someone so close.

  • Restoration Through PRayer

Teams of two or three trained lay ministers are available for 60-90 minute individual, confidential prayer appointments. These teams, partnering with the Holy Spirit, will spend time with you in prayer for God's healing. Please note that these are not counseling sessions. When you contact us to schedule an appointment, please indicate if we may leave a message on your voicemail.

Prayer team members are available after each Sunday morning service. Look for those wearing purple lanyards at the front of the sanctuary.

  • Sentinels

The Sentinel emails invite you to partner in prayer with Open Door as we seek to become the community that God has called us to be. Each week, an email will update you about upcoming services, inviting you to pray for the workings of God among us on Sunday and as we engage in our everyday lives, and informs you of prayer needs in this season of Lead Pastor transition. You’ll receive other updates from time to time with additional prayer requests for our ministries and partnerships.

My Beloved

Many times in life, especially when life gets hard, we need to remember the truth of what God says to us and about us. Wherever you find yourself, we encourage you to take ten minutes and watch and/or listen to this video as a source of truth from God's word to you, God's Beloved!
