WELCOME TO NEXT KIDS & NEXT YOUTH
As we walk through this season of sheltering in place, we want to be with you. Next Kids has a weekly email filled with resources, devotions, ideas for family connection and more. Reach out to kids@thedoor.org to be added to that email list. We are also having weekly virtual gathering for Next Youth. Reach out to youth@thedoor.org for more info. And be sure to check out the COVID-19 page for more resources & opportunities for connection.
We desire to inspire the Next Generation to become fully alive in God by inviting and encouraging them to know, love and follow Jesus, by helping them build relationships in our faith community, and by giving them opportunities to live for the sake of others. It is also our desire to come alongside, support and encourage parents in their role as the primary spiritual nurturers of their child’s or student’s faith.

ABSOLUTE BASICS CLASS
(9th & 10th GRADE)
As you grow as a person and in your faith, you will start to have some big questions for God about life, faith and the Church. In this class we discuss the “why” behind the basic beliefs of Christianity, wrestle with what we believe and learn how following Jesus can move us forward in faith even when the answers are unclear. Walk-ins welcome!
WHAT'S NEXT CLASS (11th & 12th GRADE)*
*Begins at 8:45am
Juniors and Seniors in high school have a desire and need to prepare for what’s next. We want to give them tools to build a solid foundation that will make the transition into college and beyond for a lifelong faith. In this class we will enter into questions like: How can I manage my life after high school? How can my struggles make my faith stick? How can I experience God on a regular basis? Based on the Sticky Faith research project by Dr. Kara Powell and Brad Griffin, scripture, community and conversation, this class will benefit your teen as they move forward. Walk-ins welcome.
PARENTS
While your student is in class, consider volunteering, check out The Gathering@9 or relax in the Gathering Place with a cup of coffee from the Coffee Cart!

Mission Trips
Hearts and minds are expanded when our students are exposed to more of what God is doing in the world around us. Each summer, we partner with several outstanding ministries in the USA, around the globe, and in our own backyard to offer short-term mission trips for youth who are ready to explore living for the sake of others. Parents
You are not alone! We provide opportunities for parents to connect with other parents and to be encouraged and equipped to raise their children as followers of Christ.
There is so much out there telling you how to raise (or not raise) your children. We have recommended resources to help you in your parenting experience. We also have online and take-home resources for our Kids Sunday curriculum. Contact: Amanda | ext 1703
