At Open Door, we love our kids and students! We believe God has given them unique callings and gifts, and that they too can

hear from God and experience the power of the Holy Spirit. All the way from birth through graduation, our staff and committed

volunteers walk alongside kids, students, giving them a place to explore and deepen their faith. We support parents as the

primary influencers in their childs’ faith journey.

Our goals in Next Generation are:

  • To provide a safe, welcoming and fun place for kids and students to encounter God and build community
  • To teach kids and students that they have a part to play in God’s Big Story
  • To help kids and students develop and transform in relationship with Jesus Christ
  • To help kids and students see and respond to the needs in the world around them for the sake of others
  • To call out the life of God and develop leadership in our kids and students

next kids (birth-5th grade)

Here are a few of the ways we are keeping our space safe and welcoming for our kids, families and volunteers:

  • Checking in will take place upstairs to help eliminate hallway congestion in the lower level.
  • Classroom capacities are adjusted to CDC recommendations and set up to accommodate social distancing.
  • Hard surfaces and high touch areas are regularly sanitized.

You can see all of our plans and procedures here.

Not ready to come back in person? Our NextKids team puts out a weekly Next Kids@Home resource that includes a lesson and activity to do at home. You can find that resource here.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Right now, we are assembling our amazing team of volunteers to serve with us. If you’d be willing to serve with us on the Dream Team apply here.
