SERVE

The world invites us to live our lives for ourselves, but Jesus invites us to live for something far greater. He calls us to turn our faces outward and live for the sake of others. There are many ways to serve at Open Door and beyond.

Community Blessing

During the Christmas season an atmosphere of blessing is created as needs among the Open Door community are shared and responded to in turn. Think of how you may need support this Christmas season. This might include groceries, meals, rides, help decorating, purchasing of gifts, household preparations, repairs, help wrapping and mailing items, etc. Contact: Rose | ext 1600

Visit the Community Blessing wall in the Gathering Place to respond to the needs that were submitted.

Respond to needs Dec 2 - 16

*Note: We will also be supporting the needs of our Ministry Partners from Dec 3-10 at the Community Blessing wall.

MELA school opportunities

Make a big difference in the lives of some really amazing kids! Each school year, we are looking to love and serve the staff, children, and families of Minnesota Excellence in Learning Academy (MELA). They are more than our tenant who leases the lower level of our building; they are FAMILY!

Outside Our Doors

Learning to live our lives for the sake of others is a big part of becoming fully alive in God.  We are called to live our lives missionally wherever God leads us - in our families, our neighborhoods, or around the world. Here are some of the organizations where the people of Open Door volunteer.
