GOD'S SPIRIT & YOU

A relationship with our Father God became accessible because Jesus, the Son of God, made a way. Jesus pointed to the Holy Spirit as the person of God who would be present in and around us, making our faith practical and real. We’ll look at questions like…

Is the Holy Spirit a person or a thing?

How can I know for sure?

What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

What are “gifts of the Spirit” and are they for me?

Join us for a closer look at what Scripture and personal experience teach us about the most mysterious member of the Trinity. Facilitated by Tom Johnson with Dave Brickey and Dave Johnson. Check out a short promo video here.

LIVING WITH ORDER & INTENTION (a sunday lunch & learn)

Does your life with God feel scattered? Are you finding it difficult to prioritize time, relationships and responsibilities? You’ll be in great company if you could use a little lunch and time set aside to pay attention to reprioritizing your life with God and others. Using the Rule of Life, we will consider how a sustainable and orderly rhythm of the spiritual practices of sabbath, silence, solitude, generosity and more might open us up to becoming more fully alive in God. Lunch provided. Facilitated by Vicki Degner & Kati Beasley.

MOURNING OUR LOSSES, WAITING IN HOPE

During our morning together, we will explore the shared experience of cumulative grief and loss in our lives. There are many types of losses in addition to the death of a loved one - health, marriage, occupation, relationship, and job security, just to name a few. The morning will include teaching, times of solitude for reflection and journaling, scripture meditation, and prayer. We will end our time with sharing and communion. Bring a Bible, paper or journal to write on, and a water bottle. Facilitated by Bob McKenna & Annie Claude Toll with Vicki Degner & Peggy Lang.
