Alpha is a space to explore life's big questions, to say what you think and hear other people's points of view. It's an environment of hospitality where people can bring friends, family and colleagues for a conversation about faith, life and God. It's a place to connect with other people who are open to exploring life, faith and meaning. Each session includes a time to connect with others over a meal, hear a short talk on an element of the Christian faith and a space for those present to share their thoughts / questions with the group. Ready to begin the journey?

Join others as we read through the book Welcome Homeless - a compilation of personal stories of people who have been homeless - and a discussion on how to love our neighbors as ourselves. Alan Graham, author of Welcome Homeless, shares in a raw, humorous, and honest voice the stories of those who have been homeless, and the stories of those whose worldviews have been shifted by the homeless. As we read this incredible book, we will have our hearts and minds expanded for people who have encountered a great amount of trauma, and will be invited to see and respond to homelessness in a new way.

In a world that preaches a "try harder" gospel - just keep going, keep hustling, keep pretending you're fine - we're left exhausted, overwhelmed, and numb to our lives. If we're honest, we've been over functioning for so long, we can't even imagine another way. How else will things get done? How else will we survive? doesn't have to be this way!

Audi Kolber (author of Try Softer) believes that we don't have to white-knuckle our way through life. Through this six-session study, we'll see how God specifically designed our bodies and minds to work together to process our stories and work through obstacles. Trying softer is sacred work. And while it won't be perfect or easy, it will be worth it because this is what we were made for: a living, breathing, moving, feeling, connected, beautifully incarnational life. Who doesn't want that?

Please indicate which group (Wednesday PM or Thursday AM) at registration. Kids programming is available for Thursday AM.

Peter Scazzero (author of Emotionally Healthy Spirituality) learned the hard way: you can't be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. Even though he was the pastor of a growing church, he did what most people do - avoid conflict in the name of Christianity; ignore his anger, sadness and fear; use God to run from God; and live without boundaries.

God wants us to be emotionally healthy, as well as spiritually mature men. We are made to be whole and holy. In this nine-session course, we will explore how to find healing from the messages of our past, enlarge our souls through grief and loss, biblically integrate our emotions and find rhythms of being with Jesus every day.

This men's group meets on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays of each month beginning March 3.

There is something beautiful and powerful that happens when God's people band together in prayer. Pray Together is a time of active prayer in community. We'll have a short centering practice at the start of the time and then hear what each person is sensing from God and their specific prayer requests. We'll take time to pray together around those things and the weekly care / prayer update from our church family.
