LET's SERVE OUR COMMUNITY & LOVE OUR CITIES

We're closely partnering with a few organizations who are working to address the needs that have come out of the aftermath of George Floyd's death. We are looking to these partners, who have already been working in those communities, to tell us what needs and service would help right now. The world invites us to live our lives for ourselves, but Jesus invites us to live for something far greater.  He calls us to turn our faces outward and live for the sake of others. We call this Missional Life

  • we LOVE MAPLE GROVE

In case you're wondering "What the heck is Love Maple Grove" - we can tell you!

"We Love Maple Grove" is a collaborative of local churches in serving their community in ways that clearly demonstrate the power of God's love through acts of kindness and meeting real needs. Each year, churches in our city join together to plan and implement projects that serve non-profits and neighborhoods in practical ways.

The Vision: To allow "We Love Maple Grove" to change how the church understands and responds to the community where it is planted, thereby changing how the community perceives the church and Christ.

On October 4 we are collecting food from noon-4pm in the Open Door parking lot for the Fill The Truck Event that benefits CROSS food shelf! You can find out more details including volunteering opportunities and a list of donation needs here.

  • emerge mother's academy

One of our ministry partners, Emerge Mother's Academy works with many single mothers who live in the areas most affected by the events in the metro. They are putting together Bags of Help for these women that include food and hygiene items.

You can find more info about the bags and sign up to donate a bag here. They are also posting needs on their FaceBook page. For more info about Emerge and to find others ways to help, check out their website.

  • Inverted arts

One of our ministry partners, Inverted Arts (IA) in Minneapolis is collecting the following donations for the IA families who are deeply impacted by the tragedies:

    • Non-perishable foods
    • Hygiene items (paper towels, toilet paper, disinfectant wipes)
    • Cleaning supplies

For information on where to drop off donations you can email Mark Collier at mark.collier@invertedarts.org

Find out more about them on their website or FaceBook page.

  • LOCAL FOOD SHELVES

Help our neighbors who are struggling during this season by donating food and supplies to our local food shelves or volunteering to serve these neighbors as they come in to shop.
